Shot blasting is an cost effective alternative to acidic pickling of wire and bar prior to cold drawing. This process is environmental friendly and the hassles of effluent treatment plant are avoided.
We have two standard models - single blast and 3/4 blast wheel configuration. These models are available with optional PLC controlled automation for bar loading and unloading.
Other batch type machines for wire bar in coil form is also available upon request. Online shot blasting machine for schumac type combined drawing lines can also be supplied to suit requirement. |

| SINGLE BLAST WHEEL CONFIGURATION |
|
Single blast wheel machine with roller conveyors -
This machine has a single blast wheel mounted on the
top of the cabinet. The entry and exit roller conveyors
feed in the bar which is rotated spirally as it passes
through the blast pattern thus exposing all sides of the
bar to the blast zone. This machine is suitable for bars
ranging from 16mm to 48mm.
The line speeds achieved vary from 5 m/min. to 8m/min
depending on the bar diameter. |
|
| THREE / FOUR BLAST WHEEL CONFIGURATION |
|
In the three / four blast wheel configurations the blast wheels are staggered at 120 / 90
degrees to each other thereby eliminating the need to rotate the bar. A ‘V’ grooved roller
conveyor can be used to convey the bar linearly into the machine. This makes it
convenient to use the machine in line with a continuous drawing machine like schumac
(A 5 roller straighter is placed after the un coiler ). |
